Would you like to become a CreativeAge Workshop facilitator .. and get paid for it?
We are looking for artist facilitators and teachers for a Creative Arts and Wellness project cosponsored by Museum London and funded by a 2022 New Horizons for Seniors Grant. We are looking for facilitators (over the age of 55) who can lead creative workshop sessions at community centres and seniors apartment buildings. This is a paid opportunity.
London area instructors/facilitators are needed for the following topics:
- creative writing
- painting
- drawing
- mixed media art
- meditation
- movement/dance
- rhythmic arts
- music/singing/drumming
Minimum participation requirements:
Applicants must be over the age of 55 and have a experience in arts education, adult education, performing and/or visual arts
Selected applicants will attend an information and orientation session on August 31st 1 pm to 4 pm at Museum London. They will participate in a home study program with 2 1-hour zoom coaching sessions.
They will also conduct 3 – 90 minute sessions onsite with small groups of older adults (6 to 12 people) during the months of September or October. Evaluation notes and remarks will be provided.
What we want from you:
- attend orientation session August 31st at Museum London
- review training materials at home
- attend 2 1hr online ZOOM sessions
- prepare and facilitate 3 x 90min onsite workshops
- submit feedback/comments
Total Remuneration: $1600
A certificate of completion (“CreativeAge Facilitator”) will be issued on completion of the study program and wokshops.
