Because of COVID-19, we are collaborating with community partners to provide creative digital literacy skills and social media support to older adults and seniors serving organizations. We anticipate this will continue through 2021. However, we are currently seeking community partners for new creative adventures in 2022-23.
Recent research has proven that life enrichment and creative arts programs reduce social isolation and support the overall health and well-being of older adults. Typically these skills development and social programs are offered through library branches, seniors centres, retirement and care homes. Our program developers and trainers have worked with community partners utilizing the best creative aging practices along with our own creative instructional strategies developed over the past 10 years.
