“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
― Edith Sitwell
By the time November rolls around, my studio if full of creative and crafty projects at various stages of completion. In the good weather, it seems my creative output is interrupted by many day trips to the beach. Not complaining.
Winter is my time to hunker down and catch up on studio projects.
There’s a certain rhythm to self-employment as well. Organizations slow down as the winter holidays approach and it takes awhile to re-build momentum. I’m usually busy March through November. That results in 3 months for studio creative time at home.
It’s a good time to start a new Winter Creative Arts Journal. When I need inspiration, I use Art Journal Prompts compiled by other creative artist bloggers.
